As parents we try to be as honest as possible and not try "sugar" coat life and the subjects we talk about. However in the Kelison's house I (mommy) listening to Mary and Deacon's conversation during our dinner: Deacon (our oldest, 6 years) turns to Mama (Mary Cay) and asked "Mama, what is BHA or BHT?" Mama, "Well it's not good for you, it's a scientific long word, that I don't know the exact definition" Deacon, "Is that the chemical that isn't good for my sperm count?" Mommy (me) almost spraying the entire family with water..."Deacon, what did you say?" and with any words... Mary Cay (mama) holding her hand up to stop me from laughing and indicating that he was really serious. Mama continuing to speak with Deacon, "Well Deacon, remember the other day we were talking about using items that save the earth and healthy for our bodies and to protect your sperm count so you can have babies some day with your wife?" Of course I (mommy) couldn't help but started laughing and took a picture of Deacon getting mad at me, "Mommy! Stop laughing at my sperm! Someday I want to have kids with my wife and it's important not to use products with BHA OR BHT. Mommy, "I am sorry D - you are just so cute, and love you"
